In a two-bathroom house during the morning, it would not be uncommon to have two showers running and a sink or two simultaneously. Sinks, washers, and dishwashers generally require 1.5 to 2.0 GPM. A two-bath house would likely need the flow rate of one bathtub, one shower, and one sink culminating at 8.5 gallons per minute.
